Replicate podcasts to another environment

Customers who have more than one environment can replicate podcasts from one environment to another.

By replicating podcast, it is possible to adjust only the information required, rather than re-registering it from scratch, saving time and effort.

To request the creation of a new environment, open a support ticket.

Instructions

  1. Click on Trainings in the main menu

  2. Click on the Replicate Contents submenu

  3. Click on the To Register button icon in the top right-hand corner

  4. Fill in the necessary fields as instructed below:

Environment (mandatory)

Select the destination environment.

Content Type (mandatory)

Select Podcast.

Podcast (mandatory)

Select all the podcasts from the source environment that will be replicated to the destination environment.

When you return to the list of replication registrations, the new registration will have the status WAITING. While it is in this status, you can:

  • Pause replication: click Select and then Pause in the list. The status will remain PAUSED until it is resumed. To restar, click Select and then Continue in the list.

  • Cancel replication: click Select and then Cancel in the list. The registration will have the status CANCELLED and cannot be resumed.

It is not possible to undo the sending of podcasts that have already been sent at the time of the pause or cancellation.

Check the registration logs to see if any podcasts have been sent.

If the registration is not paused or canceled, the status will be changed to COMPLETED when all the podcasts are replicated to the destination environment.

Configure podcast in the destination environment

After replication has been completed, some settings for the replicated podcast must be adjusted, as instructed below:

Even though the podcast is active in the source environment, it will be replicated as deactivated in the destination environment so that settings can be made before activation.

  1. Access the destination environment as an administrator

  2. Click on Trainings in the main menu

  3. Click on the Podcast submenu

  4. Search for the replicated podcast in the Research bar in the top right corner

In the replication registration logs, the destination ID of the podcasts will be indicated to facilitate the search.

  2. Click on the To Change option in the list

  3. Change the fields:

Profile (mandatory)

Select the profile(s) of the students who will be able to consume the podcast content.

Category

Select the categories you want to link to the podcast. They must be previously configured.

Depending on the categories of trainings in which the student has enrolled, podcasts that do not require enrollment will be recommended to them (if this feature is activated in the account configuration), taking into account their interest.

If the student has taken a course in the Products category, podcasts linked to the same category will be recommended to them.

Enable

Select the Yes option so that, when you have finished registering the podcast, it will be possible for students to view it, or No so that, when you have finished registering the podcast, it will not be possible for students to view it.

You can also change the other fields replicated from the destination podcast if you wish.

  1. Click Save to change the registration

Repeat these instructions for all replicated podcasts.
