Link knowledge to the students' work function

Linking knowledge to the students' work function allows for a more personalized and efficient self-assessment:

  • When knowledge is linked to the students' work function and specialty, self-assessment will be able to be filtered according to desirable and mandatory knowledge.

  • When knowledge is not linked to the students' work function and specialty, all knowledge in the self-assessment will be characterized as optional.

Instructions

Edit level nomenclature

The levels represent the degree of knowledge or skill desired for a work function.

Example 1:

  • Undefined

  • Bronze

  • Silver

  • Gold

Example 2:

  • Beginner

  • Basic

  • Intermediate

  • Advanced

The platform has 4 levels registered with the nomenclatures Nível 1, Nível 2, Nível 3 and Nível 4.

It is not possible to register new levels, but the nomenclatures can be adjusted according to the structure of your organization.

  1. Click on Knowledge in the main menu

  2. Click on the Levels submenu

  3. Locate the desired level

  4. Click on the Select option

  5. Click on the To Change option in the list

  6. In the Level field, enter the desired nomenclature

  7. Click the Save button

  8. Repeat these steps to modify the other levels, if necessary

Register, edit or delete specialties

Specialties represent areas of focus in a work function.

Examples:

  • Front-end

  • Back-end

  • Information security

  • Branding

  • UX/UI

  • Agile methodologies

  • Strategic planning

Each student and piece of knowledge in a work function can be linked to a specialty.

To register a specialty, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Knowledge in the main menu

  2. Click on the Specialties submenu

  3. Click on the To register button icon in the top right-hand corner

  4. In the Specialty field, enter the name of the specialty

  5. In the Status field, select Enabled to allow linking a specialty after registration, or Disabled so that the specialty is registered but cannot be linked

  6. Click Save to register the specialty

  7. Repeat these steps to register all the desired specialties

To edit the registration or delete a specialty, locate it in the list, click on the Select option, click on the To Change option and on the screen that opens:

  • To edit, change the desired fields and click Save.

  • To delete, click on the 🗑 icon in the top right-hand corner.

Link knowledge to work function

Linking knowledge to students' work functions will allow personalized self-assessment.


To link it manually, follow the steps below:

  1. Register the work function

  2. Register the team, if you wish

  3. Register the knowledge

  4. Edit the nomenclature of the levels, as instructed above

  5. Register the specialties, as instructed above

  6. Register or edit students and link them to the work function registered in step 1 and the specialty registered above

  7. Click on Students in the main menu

  8. Click on the Work Function submenu

  9. Locate the desired work function

  10. Click on the Select option

  11. Click on the Linked knowledge option in the list

  12. Click on the To Register button icon in the top right corner

  13. In the Team field, select a team if you wish

  14. In the Knowledge field, select one of the registered macro or micro knowledge that corresponds to the function

Can be selected:

  • Macro knowledge that has no linked micro knowledge.

  • Micro knowledge.

  1. In the Level field, select the level that corresponds to the work function

  2. In the Type field, select whether the knowledge is desirable or mandatory for the work function

This selection will filter the knowledge in the students' self-assessment.

  1. In the Specialty field, select the specialty that corresponds to the work function and the students

If the specialty does not correspond to the same specialty linked to the work function and the students, the self-assessment will not be correctly filtered.

  1. Add more knowledge that matches the work function using the + Add Knowledge button, if you wish, and repeat steps 13 to 16

  2. Click Save to register the link


To make the link in batches, follow the steps below:

  1. Register the work function

  2. Register the knowledge

  3. Edit the nomenclature of the levels, as instructed above

  4. Register the specialties, as instructed above

  5. Register the team, if desired

  6. Register or edit students and link them to the work function registered in step 1 and the specialty registered above

  7. Click on Students in the main menu

  8. Click on the Work Function submenu

  9. Click on the Import knowledge links button icon in the top right corner

  10. Click on the Download Template button icon located in the top right corner (first icon) to download the template spreadsheet

  11. Open the downloaded file

  12. Fill in the columns with the information as instructed below:

id_funcao

Enter the code of the work function registered in step 1.

To check the work function code, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Students in the main menu

  2. Click on the Work Function submenu

  3. Locate the desired work function

The work function code is the number displayed in the ID column.

id_conhecimento

Enter the code of the knowledge registered in step 2.

To check the knowledge code, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Knowledge in the main menu

  2. Click on the To List submenu

  3. Locate the desired knowledge

The knowledge code is the number displayed in the ID column.

Can be selected:

  • Macro knowledge that has no linked micro knowledge.

  • Micro knowledge.

id_nivel

Enter the level code you edited in step 3.

To check the level code, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Knowledge in the main menu

  2. Click on the Levels submenu

  3. Locate the desired level

The level code is the number displayed in the ID column.

id_especialidade

Enter the code of the specialty registered in step 4.

To check the specialty code, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Knowledge in the main menu

  2. Click on the Specialties submenu

  3. Locate the desired specialty

The specialty code is the number displayed in the ID column.

If the specialty does not correspond to the same specialty linked to the work function and the students, the self-assessment will not be correctly filtered.

id_equipe

Enter the code of the team registered in step 5, if desired.

To check the team code, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Students in the main menu

  2. Click on the Team submenu

  3. Locate the desired team

The team code is the number displayed in the ID column.

tipo

Enter the number of the type of knowledge:

  • 1: mandatory;

  • 0: desirable.

This selection will filter the knowledge in the students' self-assessment.

Do not make any changes or deletions in the first row of the spreadsheet column, identified by the column headings.

  1. Save the spreadsheet to your computer

  2. Return to the platform

  3. Click on Select

  4. Locate and select the file

  5. Click Send on the platform to upload the file
