# Course configured in a gamification rule is not visible to the student

## Failure

A course ( training or podcast) has been configured in a gamification campaign rule, but the student cannot access it.

## Cause

The profile and/or company linked to the course in the rule does not match the profile and/or company configured in the campaign.
💡
In a rule, a course linked to profile/company X has been set up. However, the campaign has been configured for profile/company Y.

In this case, students with profile/company Y will not be able to view or enroll in the course, nor score in this rule.

## Solution

Identify which of the situations below applies to your case:

* **Students with profile/company Y must take the course of profile/company X and score in the rule:**

  Edit the course to include profile/company Y, according to the instructions in the documentations indicated below:

  - Online training: [Create, edit or delete online/asynchronous training](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/en/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/create-edit-or-delete-online-asynchronous-training.md)

  - Podcast: [Create, edit or delete podcast](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/en/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/create-edit-or-delete-podcast.md)

* **The campaign is intended for profile/company Y only, and students must** ++**not**++ **take the course of profile/company X and score in the rule:**

  Edit the campaign to remove the rules that have this course configured.

* **The campaign is intended for profiles/companies X and Y, with specific rules for each profile/company:**

  No changes are necessary. However, if there are courses in the campaign rules for only one profile/company, students from the other profile/company will not reach the campaign's maximum score. To avoid this situation, we recommend creating separate campaigns for each profile.

# No questions to answer in the student evaluation

## Failure

The student has accessed the evaluation of a training, but there are no questions available, which prevents the training from being completed.

## Cause

This problem can occur for two reasons:

* **Cause 1**: the training has been incorrectly configured to have an evaluation, even when it shouldn't.

* **Cause 2**: the training has an evaluation, but the available questions have not been included in the settings. Example: there are 4 questions available for the easy difficulty, but none have been configured:

![image-20241105-132058.png](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/__attachments/a_f82a914b611f36ed12a20f1ab0cc907a3fa6f31f2c1e837349bca4ce0e366966/image-20241105-132058.png?cb=12e0023bfaef4fe5c264d8fa7fca0d83)

## Solution

The approaches to solving the problem vary depending on the cause identified.

* **For cause 1**:

If the training has been incorrectly configured to have an evaluation, follow the steps below to correct this setting:

1. Click on **Trainings**on the main menu

2. Click on the **Online/Asynchronous** submenu

3. Search for the desired training in the **Research**bar in the upper right corner

4. Click on the **Select** option

5. Click on the **To Change** option in the list

6. In the **Test** field, select the option **Not to have test**

7. Click the **Save** button

* **For cause 2**:

Go to [Configure evaluation of the online/asynchronous training module](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/en/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/configure-evaluation-of-the-online-asynchronous-tr.md#configure) for detailed instructions on how to correctly configure the evaluation. In the easy, medium and hard difficulty fields, enter a number equal to or less than the available questions. Example:

# Caracteres especiales en palabras acentuadas en informes CSV

## Falla

  - Entrenamiento online: [Registrar, editar o eliminar entrenamiento online/asincrónico](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/es/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/registrar-editar-o-eliminar-entrenamiento-online-a.md)

  - Podcast: [Registrar, editar o eliminar podcast](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/es/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/registrar-editar-o-eliminar-podcast.md)

* **La campaña está dirigida a los perfiles/empresas X e Y, con reglas específicas para cada perfil/empresa:**

* **Os alunos com perfil/empresa Y devem realizar o curso do perfil/empresa X e pontuar na regra:**

* **A campanha é destinada somente ao perfil/empresa Y, e os alunos** ++**não**++ **devem realizar o curso do perfil/empresa X e pontuar na regra:**

* **A campanha é destinada aos perfis/empresas X e Y, com regras específicas para cada perfil/empresa:**

Each gamification campaign can be configured with specific start and end dates and enriched with visual elements such as personalized banners, covers and backgrounds.

Campaigns can be divided into several phases, each with its own date range. This allows for the progressive unlocking of rules, ideal for long-running campaigns that require continuous engagement from participants.

Each phase can have its own rules and points, providing flexibility for different trainings and allowing for a variation in points as required.

In addition, it is possible to create and manage several campaigns simultaneously, offering detailed customization for different profiles and trainings.

## Instructions

Kubo offers 13 pre-established campaign dynamics, called rules:

| **Phase**(mandatory) | Enter the start and end dates of the campaign phase. To add more phases to the same campaign, click on the **+ Add phase** button. The phases will be numbered **Phase 1** , **Phase 2** , **Phase** **3** and so on. The campaign can be made up of several phases. As time progresses, students unlock and view the rules of subsequent phases, allowing you to structure long-lasting campaigns, divided into stages, with a focus on instigating the participating players and increasing engagement throughout the campaign. The campaign must have at least one phase. Each rule should be linked to the respective phase, so we recommend planning and distributing the learning items by phase first, assessing the degree of difficulty of each one. Good practice: * **Recommendation 1**: properly balance the number of learning items per phase, also considering their complexity. * **Recommendation 2**: the tie-breaking criteria should also be thought of in the context of phases, since a certain criterion can seal the player with the best chance of winning the campaign from the outset. |
| **Rule**(mandatory) | Configure the rules that will make up the campaign: * **Rule** : select the desired rule, [as described above](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/en/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/configure-campaign.md#rules). * **Training/Podcast/Module**: select the training, podcast or module - depending on the rule selected - that will be covered by the rule. In order for students participating in the campaign to be able to take the courses and score in the rules, the profiles and/or companies of the courses linked to the rules must match the profiles and/or companies set up in the campaign. Otherwise, students will not have access to the courses and will not be able to score in these rules. If a student is unable to view a course, consult the documentation [Course configured in a gamification rule is not visible to the student](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/en/solucao-de-problemas/Current/course-configured-in-a-gamification-rule-is-not-vi.md) for further assistance. * **Points**: enter the number of points that will be awarded to the student when they comply with the rule. * **Badge** : enter, if you wish, the personalized image (such as trophies or medals, for example) for the rule, which will be displayed on the student's dashboard. If no image is entered, the [standard badge of the rule shown above](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/en/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/configure-campaign.md#rules) will be used. * **Phase**: select the phase to which the rule will be linked. To add more rules to the same campaign, click on the **+ Add Rule** button. Rules can be changed or deleted only as long as no student has accumulated points. |
| **Tiebreaker Rules**(mandatory) | Define the order of the tie-breaking criteria between the students by selecting the following options: * **Response in oldest reaction evaluation**: prioritizes the student who responded to the first satisfaction survey before the others. * **Oldest rule completion date**: prioritizes the student who completed the first rule before the others. * **Enrollment in oldest campaign trainings**: prioritizes the student who enrolled in one of the trainings first. These criteria will be used to define the position in the ranking in the event of a tie. Reports available for auditing the ranking: * **Gamification Ranking**: displays, in descending order of position in the ranking, the date and time at which each tie-breaking criterion was met. * **Gamification Detailed Ranking**: displays, in descending order of position in the ranking, the date and time each rule was met. |
| **Knowledge** | If you wish, select up to 5 knowledge that are related to the campaign. Selecting knowledge allows the student to carry out self-assessments at strategic moments, evaluating their progress before and/or after the campaign. After selecting the knowledge, the **Self-assessment** field will be enabled, allowing you to configure when self-assessments will be available: * **Pre**: the student will carry out only 1 self-assessment and it will be available before fulfilling all the rules or as long as the campaign period has not ended. * **Post**: the student will complete only 1 self-assessment and it will be available after all the rules have been met or when the campaign period has ended. * **Both**: the student will complete the 2 self-assessments described above. |

# Configure evaluation of the online/asynchronous training

When you configure the evaluation of a module, the questions will be presented to the student when they finish it.

This allows you to assess the student's understanding of the content covered and reinforce learning in an interactive way.

## Instructions

Follow the instructions below according to the training evaluation settings: [per module](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/en/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/configure-evaluation-of-the-online-asynchronous-tr.md#module) or [at the end of the training](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/en/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/configure-evaluation-of-the-online-asynchronous-tr.md#training).

### Evaluation per module

If you select the option **Test per module** in the **Test** field when registering the training, you can register questions for each module you want. In this case, each module will have its own evaluation based on the questions configured.

To **register**the questions and answers, follow the steps below:

1. Click on **Trainings**on the main menu

2. Click on the **Online/Asynchronous**submenu

3. Click on the **Published** tab if the training is already published, or the **Not Published** tab if the training is not yet published

4. Locate the desired training

5. Click on the **⁝** button at the end of the line

6. Click on the **To Change** option

In this way, each student can access a different test. * **Fixed**: the questions are always displayed according to the selection made when the evaluation was created, with no variation between students. By selecting this option, the difficulty fields are hidden and all the questions registered in the evaluation will be displayed. By selecting the **Fixed** option, a [sort button will be enabled in the list of questions](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/en/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/configure-evaluation-of-the-online-asynchronous-tr.md#sort1), allowing the administrator to manually define the sequence in which they will be presented. |
| **Difficulty Easy, Medium, and Hard**(mandatory) | Setting only available if the display of questions is random. Enter the number of questions desired for each difficulty. Beside each field, it will appear how many questions you have available for selection on each difficulty. | **Questions display**(mandatory) | Select the desired option to define whether the questions will be displayed randomly or in a fixed order: * **Random**: the questions are drawn from a bank of questions, respecting the difficulty levels set by the administrator. In this way, each student can access a different test. * **Fixed**: the questions are always displayed according to the selection made when the evaluation was created, with no variation between students. By selecting this option, the difficulty fields are hidden and all the questions registered in the evaluation will be displayed. By selecting the **Fixed** option, a [sort button will be enabled in the list of questions](https://helpcenter-kubo.ndd.tech/en/usando-o-kubo-by-ndd/Current/configure-evaluation-of-the-online-asynchronous-tr.md#sort2), allowing the administrator to manually define the sequence in which they will be presented. |
| **Difficulty Easy, Medium, and Hard**(mandatory) | Setting only available if the display of questions is random. Enter the number of questions desired for each difficulty. Beside each field, it will appear how many questions you have available for selection on each difficulty. When you enter a quantity in the field that is smaller than the available questions, random questions will be presented among the available ones. |
